Ross has highlighted a 600-gallon pressure vessel manufactured by its Tank and Fabrication Division for high-pressure processing, storage and related industrial applications.

The custom vessel has a full holding capacity of 600 gallons and is rated for 300 psi at 200°F.

It is fabricated from SA516 Grade 70 carbon steel and designed, built and stamped in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1.

The cylindrical shell measures 4ft in diameter and 6ft seam-to-seam, with ASME 2:1 elliptical heads.

The vessel is hydrotested before shipment to verify its pressure integrity.

A flanged left head provides access to the interior for inspection, cleaning and maintenance.

Carbon steel guide rods assist with removing the head, while a centre-mounted lifting flange is designed to simplify handling during servicing.

The vessel is supplied with threaded tie rods and spare threaded rods for assembly and maintenance requirements.

Process connections include a 10-inch raised-face slip-on flange with a blind flange and instrumentation ports.

Threaded inlet, outlet and gauge connections are also included to accommodate different process requirements.

Inside the vessel, welds are ground to remove high spots, while the interior surfaces are sandblasted to remove mill scale and discoloration.

Exterior welds are similarly ground smooth before the vessel receives a coat of primer.

The pressure vessel is supported by two carbon steel saddles and features lifting lugs to assist with handling during installation.

Ross’s Tank and Fabrication Division manufactures custom pressure vessels, storage tanks and reactors for a range of applications.

The 600-gallon vessel is designed to provide a durable, code-compliant solution for industrial pressure processing and storage operations.

Its combination of carbon steel construction, ASME Section VIII, Division 1 compliance and hydrotesting is intended to support demanding pressure applications while providing access for inspection and maintenance.
