The listing gives local investors access to one of the world's largest diversified resources companies, with Canaccord Genuity ( TSX:CF , LSE:CF ) identifying potential valuation upside of 17%.
Based on Glencore's overnight closing price in London, its Australian-listed CHESS Depositary Interests (CDIs) are expected to have an equivalent value of approximately A$11.07 each.
The secondary listing brings a global mining heavyweight valued at more than A$100 billion to the Australian market, alongside BHP and Rio Tinto, with copper growth, strong coal cash flows and a substantial commodity trading business underpinning its investment appeal.
Canaccord expects Glencore to enter the S&P/ASX 200 Index as early as March 2027, with potential ASX 100 inclusion later in the year as Australian ownership and trading liquidity increase.
