ETN fell 7% and PWR dropped 4% in sympathy as the GRID infrastructure ETF sank roughly 10 times harder than SPY's 0.4% decline.
PWR, despite holding the largest YTD gain at 48%, fell the least, which points to the sell rating as the differentiator rather than a mechanical unwind of winners.
GE Vernova ( NYSE:GEV | GEV Price Prediction ) stock is down 9% to $873.89 in midday trading Monday after GLJ Research initiated coverage with a Sell rating and a $470 price target.
That target sits well below where GE Vernova is currently trading, and it landed against an otherwise constructive Street backdrop for the name.
GE Vernova stock is the worst-performing name in the power-infrastructure complex today, and the move extends a slide that was already underway.
The framing contrast makes the sector angle around GE Vernova obvious.
The First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Smart Grid Infrastructure Index Fund ( NASDAQ:GRID ) is falling 4%, and the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust ( NYSEARCA:SPY ) is down by only 0.3%.

Eaton ( NYSE:ETN ) stock is falling 7% to $395.29.
