Saab UK has received an order from Ørsted for a Seaeye Cougar XT Compact , which expands the Denmark-headquartered giant’s fleet of Saab Seaeye systems to three Cougar vehicles that support inspection and maintenance operations across its offshore wind portfolio.

The ROV’s electric architecture is said to deliver precise control and maneuverability, making it well suited to inspection and intervention work in complex subsea environments, as it combines a compact and flexible design with the power and reliability required for offshore operations.

Jon Robertson , Seaeye Managing Director at Saab UK, commented: “ We are delighted to receive this order from Ørsted.

Expanding its Saab Seaeye fleet with a third Cougar system reflects the confidence the company has in our technology and its ability to support inspection and maintenance operations across offshore wind assets.” The UK affiliate of Sweden’s Saab emphasizes that Ørsted relies on advanced subsea technology to help monitor the integrity of critical infrastructure, including foundations, cables, and other submerged assets.
