Epiroc’s 10 t Scooptram underground loader has received a major upgrade, featuring a new design, enhanced serviceability, compliance with new CE standards and Stage V engine alternative, helping the Scooptram ST10 P deliver increased safety, productivity and reliability for underground operations.
The Scooptram ST10 P is part of Epiroc’s new Power series, offering reliable performance, straightforward operation and direct control system, the company explains.
It represents the latest evolution of the Scooptram ST1030.
Mattias Pettersson, Global Portfolio Manager Underground Loaders and Trucks, said: “We want to provide our customers with the most reliable solutions for their operations.
Looking at Scooptram ST1030, we knew it could become an even better product without changing its core, but rather by improving it.” The loader has been upgraded to meet CE certification safety requirements, conforming to ISO 19296 – an international safety standard for mobile underground mining machines.
CE certification means the product complies with European Union health, safety and environmental protection standards.
In addition, the Scooptram ST10 P is now available with Stage V engine option, fulfilling the latest emission standards in the EU and North America.
It is designed to deliver higher power and torque while reducing harmful emissions through an advanced after-treatment system.
Mary Zhu, Global Product Manager Scooptram Small Segment, says: “The loader has received major upgrades to boost safety, productivity and reliability.
We listened to our customers’ need for a stronger and more capable front-end and are now including the existing high-lift option as a standard feature on all Scooptram ST10 P loaders.” The high-lift option enables stronger and better truck-loading performance, with a 5% increase in hydraulic breakout force.
At the same time, the loader is more capable of releasing material faster from the bucket thanks to the upgraded bucket low dump angle, Epiroc claims.
Zhu continues: “Most importantly, [the] Scooptram ST10 P is not a completely new product, but one built on years of experience, with the Scooptram ST1030 as its foundation.
Our customers trust and appreciate this machine, so rather than altering a proven design, our goal was to build on its success and make it even better.
